Personalised Music Instruction
Meet Serena Scott

Serena Grace Scott
Multi-Instrumentalist UQ Music Graduate

I started playing the piano in 2006, the cello in 2008, the flute in 2009, and the saxophone in 2011. Over time, I have had the opportunity to perform with various bands and musicians in genres including and beyond classical, such as funk, Motown, and reggae. I love music in all its forms!
In 2022, I completed my Bachelor of Music Studies at the University of Queensland, majoring in classical performance with the flute. Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s in Secondary Teaching at Griffith University, as one of my goals is to become a high school music and instrumental teacher. I have previously worked with typesetting, further enhancing my reading skills and theory knowledge.
I strive to collaborate with students to help them acquire technical skills, reading skills, and skills specific to the styles of music they want to pursue. I welcome individuals of any age with interests in any genre to my lessons. Through my amiable and supportive approach, where patience and respect are highly regarded, each lesson will be customised to address your individual long-term and short-term goals.
